SCROLL DOWN

The most beautiful moments happen when the camera is off.

ย

I love the authenticity of real people versus working with actors. However, on camera most of us run the risk of acting and losing part of this beauty and authenticity.  This conflict between the acted and the authentic ego is a fascinating playground to me. My approach is not only to make authentic portraits but also to create a piece that is sensitive to these quotidian contradictions.  (Marius Wehrli, Director)

about Frogs, Flies and an ascension to heaven

A series of wondrous cinematic portraits realized for the 225th anniversary of LzO - the worlds oldest savings bank in Oldenburg, Germany.  The series consists of brief  portraits of three generations of people chosen from among the bank's clients. Each film was made using material obtained through an interview and just one day of shooting.  A red sphere paraphrasing the bank's logo design is the only tribute and mention of the bank. The films were premiered on location at the ceremonial occasion of the 225th year jubilee event.
